During the site-specific residency RossoNove (IT), I worked in a first-century necropolis, exploring stratification in perception. I made graphite frottages directly on the stones, which evolved into towers, misty landscapes, and hybrid forms.

The project culminated in an event in the necropolis, where participants engaged with the frottage technique. My drawings were installed with a sound work of the sea, a reference point for stratification: the sea is probably the only landscape that hasn’t changed since the first century.

This work explored the dialogue between inner activity and territory, opening new ways of seeing and offering subtle resistance to exploitation through mass tourism and real estate speculation along the Ligurian coast.
