Marie-Pierre Murigneux (FR) earned a BA and an MA in Visual and Performing Arts from the Venice Academy of Fine Arts, a BA in Eurythmy from EUVE Venice, and a DMA in Architectural Décor, fresco and mosaic, from ENSAAMA Paris.
A visual artist and performer based in The Hague, she develops personal projects while collaborating with DeDae, Dutch Eurythmy Dance Ensemble and the duo Mundus Imaginalis.
Her practice intertwines painting, drawing, and movement to investigate the tensions that shape individual and collective behavior. The work explores fragility, vulnerability, and contradiction as possibilities for transformation and coexistence. Collaboration is central to her practice: through workshops and shared explorations, she blends intuition with collective imagination. Central to her research is the influence of biologist and researcher Olivier Hamant and the concept of “robustness”: an alternative to performance-driven culture based on slowness, heterogeneity, and uncertainty. Her work seeks new ways of being together with genuine kindness.
